a. G. K. ADJUSTERS LIMITED is a leading professional company of Bangladesh extending the services of insurance loss assessment and adjustment to the general insurance market in Bangladesh.
b. Besides loss adjustment, the company is also engaged in extending the services of inspection of projects, risk management, pre-shipment and post-shipment inspection and post-landing survey, LKD survey of raw cotton, preinspection of cold storage and fish freezing plants, pre-under writing inspection as well as valuation consultant. Besides, the company undertakes post-landing inspection of imported Raw Cotton for use in the local textile units. This includes weighment, sampling and quality tests etc.
c. The Company has developed reasonable professional skill in undertaking the valuation of moveable and immovable properties including valuation of complicated and sophisticated machineries of various national and multi -national companies in Bangladesh.
d. The valuation of building and complete plant and machineries including power substation and affluent plant of Messrs. Bata Shoe Co [BD] Ltd was completed by the company. This valuation had been necessitated by Bata to determine the replacement cost of their Dhamrai project and the job had accordingly been done to meet with their requirement.
e. The concept and utility of valuation survey in Bangladesh was at its infancy and various industrial concerns were not at all concerned to know and determine the present worth of their project and they mostly depend on their book value which is normally a depreciated value and does not reflect a true picture of the assets and properties. However, things have now moved in a fair and favorable direction and while undertaking insurance coverage or mortgaging the project with the bank for long or short term financing or for entering into joint venture or foreign collaboration, the local entrepreneurs now look for professional services and skills for undertaking such job.
f. Although the opportunity and scope of undertaking valuation work in Bangladesh was very limited then but with time & experiences G. K. ADJUSTERS LIMITED had the privilege and had successfully undertaken the inspection and valuation of a good number of projects in public as well as in private sector.
